Walpole is a non-profit-making organisation that furthers the interests of the British luxury by harnessing and sharing the collective knowledge, experience and resources of the membership.

Formed in 1990 by top tier British companies, including British Airways, Chewton Glen. Coutts & Co, DAKS Simpson, the Financial Times, The Savoy Group and William Grant & Sons, the membership provides a community for the exchange of best practice ideas to drive business development in both UK and export markets.

Walpole Re-launches International Press Trips in 2008

In 2008 Walpole will re-introduce its successful international Press Trips with high-profile international press in order to highlight the importance of what will be the next Olympic country after China.

Originally held in autumn 2006, in conjunction with Visit Britain, Visit London and Visit Scotland, two groups of international and US journalists visited Walpole members in the UK. The visits were immensely successful, generating superb, high quality coverage for the UK Luxury industry.

Walpole Supports the Authentics Foundation in the Fight Against Counterfeiting

On March 10, the Authentics Foundation held its inaugural Global Anti-Counterfeiting Summit in Brussels to discuss how businesses and individuals can work together to help fight the growing threat of counterfeiting.

The international Summit was attended by industry leaders and business executives including representatives from Walpole, Comite Colbert and Altagamma, such as Leonardo Ferragamo and Santa Versace who are spearheading the global fight against counterfeiting.
