The DAKS name, synonymous with style and elegance, boasts a heritage dating back to 1894 when Simeon Simpson set up a bespoke tailoring service in Middlesex Street in the City of London. The new store, which underwent a major refurbishment programme in Spring 2007, gives DAKS the opportunity to present the brand in a luxurious new setting, whilst maximising on the new design-led approach of the collections. DAKS specialises in fine tailoring and accessories for men and women and is recognised internationally for its Housecheck, first introduced in 1976. Worldwide, DAKS is exported to over 30 countries and sold in more than 2,000 speciality shops, major stores and concessions. The company has a strong reputation in the Far East markets, having been sold under license in Japan for more than 30 years and in Korea is the number one non-domestic brand.
