RADA
The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA) is widely regarded as one of the world’s pre-eminent drama academies, which gives talented young people the finest professional vocational training to equip them for life-long careers in theatre, film, television and radio.
The Academy’s renowned alumni are a testament to what can be achieved through the intensive training RADA offers, with a commitment to small class sizes and one-to-one teaching which has the flexibility to nurture the individual. Those who have gone on to successful careers on stage and screen include Lord Attenborough, Kenneth Branagh, Ralph Fiennes, Anthony Hopkins, Alan Rickman, Juliet Stevenson, Jane Horrocks, Imogen Stubbs, Adrian Lester and Gemma Arterton.
RADA is committed to an extensive community and outreach programme to help ensure everyone, regardless of background or financial circumstances, is encouraged to apply.
RADA has a welcoming and open audition process, and every applicant, amounting to over 3,000 young people per year, receives an audition or interview. This approach helps to give greater confidence to those from backgrounds where they may face social barriers to applying to study at a higher education institution.
