Speakers including Ian Jindal ; Danny Rimer of Index Ventures ; Nick Roberts of Mulberry and Erik Wachtmeister, Founder and Chairman Asmallworld, discussed the overall luxury consumer analytics for the online sphere, key tips for luxury brands, online trends and challenges. The aim of the Forum was to provide actionable insights that represent international best practise, by revisiting the basics and looking at the most cutting edge techniques. The one purpose: to generate additional revenue and get sustainable traction in the digital space. The forum sparked great debate amongst the speakers and delegates. Keynote speakers included Peter Fitzgerald of Google who discussed current trends in online analytics. During the second half of the day, focus turned to Social media trends and opportunities, Christina Spivy Overby of Forrester Research, discussed the findings of the May 2008 report from Forrester Research, which was developed in collaboration with Walpole, “Benchmark:Luxury Sector eBusiness Adoption”, and highlighted the wealthier the customers, the more likely they are to both research and purchase goods online and then went on to provide information on Social media trends, best practice and revenue models.
